I was determine to figure out a way to make Rice Crispy Treats healthier. I used to love to eat the package ones they sell at the store but now I try to stay away from processed foods. I was very successful in making my own healthy version!
In a pot over medium heat, add peanut butter and honey and melt them together. After the mixture is melted and becomes a smooth texture, add vanilla and puffed cereal. Coat all the cereal in the melted mixture. Line a baking pan with parchment paper. Once all the cereal is coated, transfer the mixture on to the parchment paper. Press the mixture down with a spoon. Either fold the extra amount of parchment paper on top of the treats or place a separate piece of parchment paper on top and press down hard. Place in the freezer for at least 30 minutes.
