Fava beans are very high in protein and energy,full of fiber. Fava beans contain Levo-dopa or L-dopa, a precursor of neuro-chemicals in the brain such as dopamine, that may help to prevent Parkinson diseases . this is a very tasty soup and super healthy.
Fava beans soup (broad bean soup)
The test is fabulous.
1 1/2 cup fresh fava beans(Broad beans) or can fava beans
2 cups pumpkin
1 1/2 cup chopped zucchini
1 cup chopped fresh green beans
1 cup onions chopped
1/2 cup tomatoes chopped
1 kelp leaf
3/4 cup onions
5 garlic cloves finely cut
1 1/2 to 2 tsp curry powder
6 to 8 cups of water
1 tsp basil
Pinch cayenne powder
1/4 tsp oregano
1/8 thyme
1 tsp cumin
1/8 marjoram
1 tsp or more salt
1/3 cup cilantro leaves
In a fry pan add 2 tsp olive oil pumpkin and vegetable&potato spice and cook until the pumpkin get little bit brown
Then in a sauce pan cook the onion and garlic in a tablespoon of olive oil until they get soft, then add the fresh fava beans, the green beans, zucchini and water. Boil for about 20 minutes then add the spices and cook for 15 minutes more. When the soup is ready add the pumpkin. Then serve in 3-4 plates sprinkle with fresh cilantro and the tomatoes.
