This fun recipe is a fun way to combine your love for breadsticks and pizza. these twisted pizza breadsticks are filled with marinara sauce and shredded cheese and the best part is that they are made in only 5 minutes!

² Ingredients

  •  1/2 cup, mashed Cooked Pumpkin (from Canned)
  •  4 tsp Olive Oil
  •  1 tsp Baking Powder (Sodium Aluminum Sulfate, Double Acting)
  •  3 serving (serving = 1 tsp) Spice Classics Italian Seasoning
  •  1 serving (serving = 1/2 cup) 365 Organic Marinara Sauce
  •  3 serving (serving = 1/4 cup) Gold Medal Whole Wheat Flour
  •  2 serving (serving = 1/4 cup) Sargento Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese
   

q Directions

5 min twisted pizza breadsticks - makes 3-4

Breadsticks
1/2 cup pumpkin purée
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp baking powder

Filling
-olive oil
marinara sauce of choice
~1/2 cup shredded cheese of choice

Dipping sauce
Marinara of choice


Combine ingredients to make the breadsticks and mix well until a dough forms. Separate dough into 2 equal pieces. Using a rolling pin or even a drinking glass roll out both doughs into rectangles. Make sure they are both the same length and width. On one of the rectangles spread some olive oil (prevents dough from getting moist from the sauce). Spoon a little marinara sauce and sprinkle the shredded cheese. Place the other rectangle of dough on top of the piece with the sauce and cheese. Cut dough into thin strips. Carefully twist the strips and place on a large plate. Sprinkle with a little Italian seasoning then Microwave 2-3 minutes until fully cooked. Watch carefully so they don't overcook otherwise they will be too hard. Let cool a little then dunk in marinara sauce and enjoy
