³ Description

In a mad rush to make dinner last night, I was hunting and gathering through my refrigerator and came up with some sliders for dinner. Now instead of using bread for the buns, I used sliced and roasted sweet potatoes. For the burgers I used ground bison that I had bought the day before. As I was making them, I thought they would make a perfect party appetizer or an easy quick snack to make.

² Ingredients

  •  1 cup, sliced Avocados
  •  1 medium whole (2-3/5" dia) Tomatoes
  •  1 sweetpotato, 5" long Sweet Potato
  •  16 oz, raw (yield after cooking) Ground Beef
  •  1 dash Salt
  •  1 dash Black Pepper
  •  2 serving (serving = 1/4 second spray) Great Value Olive Oil Cooking Spray

q Directions

Directions for sweet potato “buns”

pre-heat oven to 425°F
slice sweet potatoes to 1/4″ thick
place on baking sheet in single layer and drizzle with olive oil, salt, and pepper
bake for about 15-20 mins until browned, flip and bake until other side is browned and crisp
Directions for burgers:

form burgers into 3-4 oz patties, I got 5 burgers out of the batch,
season liberally with salt and pepper
cook on high heat in skillet for 3-4 mins and flip until desired doneness is reached
Assembly Direction:

place largest slices of potatoes on a tray
place burgers on each slice
top burger with tomato and avocado
top off with another sweet potato slice
