³ Description

I love homemade soft pretzels but I don't always want to go through the hassle of making them. So I came up with this quick, easy recipe to satisfy my soft pretzel craving. Pair with some marinara sauce and they make a perfect late night snack!

² Ingredients

  •  1/2 cup, mashed Cooked Pumpkin
  •  1 tsp Thyme
  •  1 tsp Baking Powder (Sodium Aluminum Sulfate, Double Acting)
  •  0.6 tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  •  1 serving (serving = 1/2 cup) 365 Organic Marinara Sauce
  •  1 serving (serving = 1/3 cup) Kraft 3 Cheese Mexicana Shredded Cheese
  •  3 serving (serving = 1/4 cup) Gold Medal Whole Wheat Flour

q Directions

5 minute Pizza soft pretzels - makes ~3 soft mini pretzels and a couple pretzel poppers

1/2 cup pumpkin purée or baked sweet potato
2 tsp olive oil
3/4- ~1 cup whole wheat flour*
Pinch thyme
Handful shredded cheese
1 tsp baking powder

*i found I only needed 3/4 cup flour when using pumpkin purée. If you use Sweet potato, start with 3/4 cup and gradually add more flour until your dough is easy to manage. I found I needed a little more than a cup of flour when using sweet potato.

Combine all ingredients except flour. Slowly add flour and mix in until a dough forms. Pinch off pieces of dough and form into a pretzel shape. Any leftover dough roll into a ball for pretzel poppers. Arrange on plate and microwave ~2 minutes. Serve with marinara sauce.
