Chocolate and Cherry make for a perfect combination for breakfast or dessert!
Chocolate Cherry Mugcake
Recipe by: Amy Clevenger, fitfunandfantastic.com
- 2 tbsp coconut flour
- 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa
- 1 tbsp low fat cottage cheese
- 3 tbsp egg whites (1 egg white)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/8 unsweetened apple sauce
- Splash of unsweetened milk
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- Optional: stevia to taste (I did not use any)
- 3 frozen cherries, chopped
Directions: Blend all ingredients except the chopped cherries. Once blended, mix in cherries. Spray a mug with non-stick spray and microwave for 1-2 minutes until cooked.
Cherry Yogurt Sauce
- ¼ cup frozen cherries
- ¼ cup non fat greek yogurt Blend cherries and greek yogurt until completely combined.
