Gluten and grain free donut recipe.

² Ingredients

   

q Directions

Peel a large plantain and should weigh around 7 oz. Roughly chop plantain and place in blender. Puree till smooth.
Place plantain puree into a large bowl and add in cinnamon and baking powder with 3 tbsp arrowroot and 2 tbsp coconut oil. Stir together.
Then add in the last tablespoon of arrowroot.
Lightly grease donut pan. And fill, makes 4 donuts.
Bake at 375 degree for about 13 minutes.
For the frosting:
Mix 4 tbsp protein powder with 1 tbsp coconut oil in a small bowl. Add water 1 tablespoon at time until you get the desired consistency.
Add maple syrup or drops of stevia to taste if you desire a sweeter frosting.

Spread protein frosting onto donuts.

Notes:
Can make in a muffin pan if you do not have a donut pan.
If you do not like stevia you can do 1 tbsp sugar.

And if you would like to use eggs - replace 1 egg for the arrowroot.
